ST BARTS
PRIMARY.

This project was located within the school grounds of St Bartholomew’s CE Primary School in Wolverhampton. There is an adjacent Primary School located at the opposite side of the school grounds from the development. The school is completely enclosed by a residential estate, with the construction of the new community centre bordering residential gardens. Neighbour consultation took place and existing access routes into the school had to be maintained close to the construction operations.

GLADSTONE

SANDFORD HILL
PRIMARY.

This project formed part of an extensive programme to improve the condition of the school buildings. An elevated modular classroom block was to be constructed on piers on sloping ground to provide additional pupil provision for the school. An existing mobile classroom block had reached the end of its lifecycle and required demolition – this building was to be replaced. The project was programmed and phased to ensure that there no was no loss of pupil teaching space during construction work.

FIVE WAYS
PRIMARY.

The initial concept for Five Ways School was to replace the existing modular building with another, however the school required a unit with improved longevity and insulation with reduced maintenance and running costs, so a timber frame construction was opted for. RAE BUILD began the project with the demolition of the existing modular building and removal from site before construction of the new timber frame unit began.
