Overview

At RAEBUILD we successfully completed the conversion and refurbishment of an existing building in Newcastle-under-Lyme, delivering a purpose-built day centre for adults with complex needs. Acting as Principal Contractor, we managed the transformation of the facility, undertaking a comprehensive internal remodelling programme while retaining the existing building footprint.

  • Remodelling the internal layout to better meet the needs of service users and staff
  • Retaining the existing building footprint whilst maximising the functionality of internal spaces
  • Constructing a new external store to support the day-to-day operation of the facility
  • Providing a new aluminium glazed canopy to create a covered and accessible walkway

The Solution

We worked closely with the client throughout the project to ensure all key finishes and products met their requirements. The client was consulted on and approved selections prior to procurement, including:

  • Windows and doors
  • Kitchen units
  • Decoration colours
  • Floor finishes
  • Soft and hard landscaping

Externally, the grounds were reconfigured to improve accessibility, with new hard landscaping and level access provided to all external entrances.
