Overview

RAEBUILD successfully completed a programme of refurbishment works at St Luke’s CE Academy, Endon, on behalf of Staffordshire University Academies Trust (SUAT). The project was undertaken following flood damage to key areas of the school and focused on restoring and upgrading facilities to provide a safe, modern, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The Brief

Following flood damage to several areas of the school, St Luke’s CE Academy required a comprehensive refurbishment programme to restore affected facilities and improve the overall condition of the learning environment.

The brief included the replacement and upgrading of toilet facilities, improvements to circulation areas, and refurbishment of key administrative spaces.

A key objective was to complete the works efficiently and to a high standard, minimising disruption to the school community while ensuring all facilities were fully functional, durable, and suitable for long-term use. The project also provided an opportunity to modernise a number of spaces and enhance the overall quality of the school environment.

The Solution

We delivered a coordinated programme of refurbishment works across multiple areas of the school. The project included the installation of new boys’, girls’, and accessible WC facilities, together with new internal doors and skirting throughout the affected areas.

Additional improvements included redecoration works and the installation of new flooring within corridor spaces, creating a fresh and modern appearance. The reprographics area was fully refurbished, while upgrades were also completed to the main school office and Head Teacher’s office.

Throughout the project, careful planning and quality control ensured the works were completed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to school operations.

The Outcome

The completed project has successfully restored and enhanced key areas of St Luke’s CE Academy following the flood damage. Pupils and staff now benefit from modern, fully refurbished facilities that provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for teaching, learning, and administration.

The upgraded toilet facilities, refreshed circulation spaces, and improved office accommodation have enhanced both functionality and appearance across the affected areas.
