RAEBUILD delivered the Trentham Community Learning Centre, a modern, single-storey community facility located within the grounds of Trentham Academy in Stoke-on-Trent. Designed as a flexible space for education, community groups, meetings and events, the centre provides high-quality, accessible accommodation for both school and wider community use.
To construct a new community learning centre within an active school environment while maintaining safe access routes, minimising disruption to neighbouring residents and delivering a modern, energy-efficient building that could support a wide range of community activities.
We constructed a steel-framed building with insulated wall cladding and aluminium glazing, creating bright, flexible internal spaces. The project included a bespoke ventilation strategy, underfloor heating and diversion of existing services to maximise building performance and long-term efficiency.
Completed in August 2019, the Trentham Community Learning Centre provides a versatile and welcoming facility for local groups, businesses and educational activities. The completed building offers flexible meeting rooms, teaching spaces and support facilities within a high-quality, sustainable environment.
