Watling Street, Gailey, Staffordshire
RAEBUILD successfully completed the remodelling and refurbishment of Watling Street Station, transforming existing office and storage accommodation into a modern, high-capacity property storage facility. The project increased storage provision, improved operational efficiency and delivered upgraded welfare facilities to support Staffordshire Police’s long-term requirements.
Staffordshire Police identified Watling Street Station as a key location for a centralised property storage facility serving multiple operational areas.
The existing layout contained offices and storage spaces that were no longer fit for purpose and required reconfiguration to maximise storage capacity while providing suitable welfare facilities for staff.
We undertook a full internal refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing building. A new mezzanine floor was installed to significantly increase storage capacity, while office areas were reduced and remodelled to accommodate additional sliding storage rack systems.
New kitchen and toilet facilities were created, and all areas were refurbished to provide a modern, practical and efficient working environment.
The completed project delivered a substantial increase in storage capacity, enabling Watling Street Station to operate as a key property storage hub for Staffordshire Police.
The reconfigured layout maximised the use of available space while providing improved welfare facilities and a more functional environment for staff.
The refurbishment has enhanced operational efficiency and created a facility capable of supporting future service requirements.
